As one of the larger-scale exhibitions in recent years featuring an international selection of works in China, it showcased over 300 representative poster designs from 153 influential contemporary designers and studios active in the forefront of the field across 28 countries.

Bananenbrot

The poster 'Bananenbrot' is part of a series that presents plant-based recipes. Unlike a strict conceptual design, this poster emphasizes playfulness and experimentation, showing how enjoyable vegan or vegetarian recipes can be.

This sense of playfulness is also reflected in the choice of typefaces. The screen-printed fonts were not selected for aesthetic or conceptual reasons but instead chosen experimentally by name, fitting the theme of the poster. For example, typefaces like 'CopaBanana' and 'Big Gorilla' are displayed. Listed directly on the poster, this typographic experiment becomes a visible part of the design itself.

The poster combines screen printing with digital printing as an experiment in merging the two techniques. As described, from printing techniques and choice of motif to typography, this poster revolves around experimentation. It reflects the theme of vegan recipes -which often require experimentation while also exploring new possibilities in design.
