The Prelude Exhibition of The First Shanghai Graphic Design Biennale – TopoPoster: International Poster Design Exhibition, after six months (June – December, 2025) of planning and preparation, was successfully held from December 13 to December 22, 2025. As one of the larger-scale exhibitions in recent years featuring an international selection of works in China, it showcased over 300 representative poster designs from 153 influential contemporary designers and studios active in the forefront of the field across 28 countries.

What do you want to be?The visual system for the 2025 graduation season of China Academy of Art is themed "Metamorphoses", inspired by the 72 forms of transformation of Sun Wukong in Chinese traditional culture. It symbolizes the diverse exploration and unlimited possibilities of the graduates on the artistic path.The changes of all things in the universe are all around us. We start with the most ordinary changes - of objects, climate, states, time, etc., which are full of endless possibilities and vitality. There are 72 main visual posters, each one resembling an independent artistic universe, yet together they form a grand artistic canvas.
