The Prelude Exhibition of The First Shanghai Graphic Design Biennale – TopoPoster: International Poster Design Exhibition, after six months (June – December, 2025) of planning and preparation, was successfully held from December 13 to December 22, 2025. As one of the larger-scale exhibitions in recent years featuring an international selection of works in China, it showcased over 300 representative poster designs from 153 influential contemporary designers and studios active in the forefront of the field across 28 countries.

When the ‘Z’ in GAZA is rotated to become GANA (which means “hunger” in Catalan) and placed over the «N», a symbol instantly recognizable comes into view. I am not accusing the Jewish people, nor all the inhabitants of Israel, of being Nazis. I am pointing out what the government of that country is doing. I think they are committing a genocide that reminds us of times we believed were behind us, and it is especially shocking that it comes from representatives of a people who once endured one themselves. I believe that raising our voices to express our opinion is essential. Whether we are on the couch, sitting at work, or standing in the street shouting, it must be said. Our gesture may be small, but every word and every action matters.
