The Prelude Exhibition of The First Shanghai Graphic Design Biennale – TopoPoster: International Poster Design Exhibition, after six months (June – December, 2025) of planning and preparation, was successfully held from December 13 to December 22, 2025. As one of the larger-scale exhibitions in recent years featuring an international selection of works in China, it showcased over 300 representative poster designs from 153 influential contemporary designers and studios active in the forefront of the field across 28 countries.

Ceramic and Glaze Exhibition – Mostafa

The Ceramic and Glaze Exhibition Poster Series explores absence and presence, inviting viewers to complete the work through interaction. The posters appear unfinished, with a missing ceramic vessel forming a visual void. Scanning the QR code reveals the hidden object via Augmented Reality (AR), transforming emptiness into completion.

The design merges traditional Persian typography with digital media: the letter “و” is stylized as a ceramic vessel, uniting language and material culture. Minimal printed graphics contrast with vibrant AR visuals, creating a layered aesthetic. This interactive, sustainable approach relies on monochrome printing with low ink usage, complemented by AR to deliver rich visuals without extra material or cost.
