Forms of Expression

Forms of Expression is a poster designed as part of a typography-focused exhibition by Manita Songserm. Using the clean yet characterful Franklin Gothic typeface, the poster explores how subtle shifts in spacing and word placement can reshape meaning. Rather than treating typography as a static tool, the design invites viewers to recognize it as a living form of communication. It is something that surrounds us and reflects us. The poster communicates the idea that typography can speak as clearly as images, and that meaning can emerge through form. In a context like Thailand, where typographic exhibitions are rare, this work offers a fresh perspective on how type can be both expressive and accessible. It contributes to broader awareness of how graphic design connects emotion, language, and everyday experience. The poster encourages viewers to move from passive reading to actively engaging with form and meaning.
