The Prelude Exhibition of The First Shanghai Graphic Design Biennale – TopoPoster: International Poster Design Exhibition, after six months (June – December, 2025) of planning and preparation, was successfully held from December 13 to December 22, 2025. As one of the larger-scale exhibitions in recent years featuring an international selection of works in China, it showcased over 300 representative poster designs from 153 influential contemporary designers and studios active in the forefront of the field across 28 countries.

Christaan Felber Poster

The work of photographer Christaan Felber encompasses many worlds, attitudes and feelings, but all reflect a voracious curiosity for humanity. Our design for Christaan’s promotional poster brought together his varied personalities into one form, using a reference to the Surrealist game, the “Exquisite Corpse”. The collaged form brings together a syncopation of color, emotion and language, framing a context for a simple statement about the artists’ practice. Ultimately, we enjoy the way this poster asks questions and invokes curiosity into Felber’s work, rather than providing explanatory answers.
