The Prelude Exhibition of The First Shanghai Graphic Design Biennale – TopoPoster: International Poster Design Exhibition, after six months (June – December, 2025) of planning and preparation, was successfully held from December 13 to December 22, 2025. As one of the larger-scale exhibitions in recent years featuring an international selection of works in China, it showcased over 300 representative poster designs from 153 influential contemporary designers and studios active in the forefront of the field across 28 countries.
CAO 10th Anniversary
Posters for the 10th anniversary of the Oliva Art Center in S. João da Madeira, Portugal. The center is housed in the former industrial site of a metalworking manufacturer.The Oliva Art Center has an active cultural program and hosts two major art collections: the Norlinda and José Lima Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art, and the Treger/Saint Silvestre Collection of Outsider/Art Brut. It aims to facilitate knowledge and interpretation of 20th- and 21st-century visual arts and stands as the only Portuguese institution dedicated to the regular exploration of outsider/raw art. CAO celebrated its 10th anniversary by inviting audiences from across the country to a major cultural event featuring works from the collections along with a special cultural program. The poster series employs a visual language that reflects design, contemporary art, and outsider/raw art. For each poster, R2 created different interpretations of the number “10,” evoking the complexity found in some Art Brut works—one of the defining characteristics of the collection—which also resonates with aspects of the contemporary art collection.
